School Campus Reussbühl, Lucerne
Public Competition

In a new school building, the challenges of our time for use and building are particularly evident. The student in particular can expect a concept that is also capable of providing answers to the climate issue. Following the example of nature, the building and its uses are therefore structured by cycles. The focus is on the direct experience of a contemporary circular culture that combines sustainable technologies,  social practices, material and energy flows. A school where new circular culture is practised in a playful way. Consequently, designing and operating a circular building means that we do not conceive of it as an object detached from its environment, but that we embed it in the natural and built cycles. The building is constructed according to the concept of "design for disassembly" so that it serves as a future component store.
